The professional discipline “brownfield manager” does not exist, neither do education or training courses. Due to this lack, COBRAMAN aims to clearly define a professional profile and job description, sets up training courses and gives advice how to position a “brownfield manager” within existing municipal structures. Work in this part of the COBRAMAN project started with drawing up a training plan for the first brownfield managers, who will be trained during the project lifetime. In the meantime the training circle is running successfully, with over 20 people to be educated as brownfield manager. The training format is following the blended learning principle with trainings held face-to-face as well as online via web-conferences. 

Training materials and outputs will be published continuously under the section OUTPUTS, in the category WP4.

ÚSTÍ NAD LABEM, CZECH REPUBLIC 21 - 22 September 2010
The 5th COBRAMAN Brownfield Manager training seminar was dedicated to the topic communication and marketing. Again a speed dating session with external experts took place, giving the paticipants the chance to bilaterally discuss with experts questions on a very detailed level. Additionally a role play was performed.
 

FERRARA, ITALY 18 -20 May 2010
The 4th COBRAMAN Brownfield Manager training seminar dealt with the economic aspects of brownfield management. As this topic was of great interest for all participants, the external experts contibuted with extended lecture sessions transfering basic knowledge and concrete examples. After the lecutres the experts were available for a speed dating ssession.
 

OSTRAVA, CZECH REPUBLIC 9 - 11 February 2010
The 3rd COBRAMAN Brownfield Manager training seminar was dedicated to issues related to civil engineering as well as to environmental technologies. In addition to experts speeches a role play was performed.
 

MOST, CZECH REPUBLIC 25 - 26 November 2009
The 2nd COBRAMAN Brownfield Manager training seminar introduced management instruments and tools. As workshop format group work under the lead of experts was chosen.
 

BYDGOSZCZ, POLAND 6 - 7 October 2009
The 1st COBRAMAN Brownfield Manager training seminar focused on basics and roadmaps. The experts were available after their speeches for a speed dating session.
